Our technology is modeled after a SACD (Super Audio CD), which was originally developed by SONY and Yamaha. SPL's format TrueSPL™ has the ability to utilize live and digital sources, as well as reproduce live analog and digital effects in cinema, arenas, theatre applications, as well as live performances, sound stages, music venues and can be formatted for broadcast and home theatres.

History
Sound Pressure Laboratories (SPL) has brought music to the spherical realm. Utilizing a historic movie theatre, SPL began interfacing with an early 80’s Dolby Surround Sound System.
With an R&D foundation, years of experience and background in Sound Engineering, SPL developed a unique digital-analogue amalgamation of Spherical Audio Distribution (SAD) systems. SAD is a unique processing, routing and distribution signaling system providing "Real Time" control and improvisational interaction between the Artist, Engineer, Instrumentation, and the Equipment.

SPL utilizes a custom built MIDI Controlled Spherical Emulator (MCSE), Discreet Audio Distribution (DAD), Multi Channel Stereo and Surround Stereo Sub Mix (MCS & SSS), The signal processing programs consist of spatial perception, time distance, directional tracking of multiple melodies and harmony creating "Music That Completely Surrounds You"!

Spring has sprung and Sound Pressure Labs TrueSPL™ is making its World-Premiere presentation "Movimenti" a musical and visual masterpiece, composed and mixed by Pajama Studios Award-Winning Composer/Producer and 2-time Grammy Nominated Engineer James Gardiner at the 2023 NAMM Show on April 13-15, 2023 - Anaheim Convention Center, California.
"Movimenti" is a short film featuring spectacular NASA visuals directed by Rian Mac of Rian Music and arranged by Sound Pressure Labs in TrueSPL™ Real-Time Surround Sound. Gardiner's composition features a 70-Piece Orchestra, released on YouTube Nov 15, 2015.
