Story

"Way started seeking out solutions to provide his clients with what became a coined term "Real Time" solutions to "Real Time" problems, from this TrueSPL™ was born"

Sound Pressure Laboratory

Sound Pressure Laboratory (SPL) is an established Music Technology and Production Company.  Their innovations expand the potential and perception for the future of music as it pertains to Surround Sound applications in film and music.  Through their TrueSPL™ technology, SPL they meet the current industry needs of Composers, Musicians, Producers, and Engineers for Live Events, Production, and Post-Production processing and integration demands.  SPL continues to grow to serve an ever-changing music technology and entertainment world.

Founded by Michael Way in 2013, SPL was conceived from years of experience as Sound Engineer and his desire to understand how to create industry solutions to the issues his Clients faced in capturing the experiences they were attempting to portray to their audience. After witnessing major industry "malfunctions" and drawbacks to system designs and technical incompatibility issues, he sought out a solution.

"Way started seeking out solutions to provide his clients with what became a  coined term "Real Time" solutions to "Real Time" problems, and from this, TrueSPL™ was born." -Director of Operations of Sound Pressure Laboratory

This pursuit for a solution, resulted in a lease of a Historic Theater, named the Garberville Theater, to test and apply the theories that would create the programming foundation for TrueSPL™. From this "Real Time Spherical Sound"  was born using a hybrid digital-analogue modification integrated with an existing Dolby Surround Sound System that was installed in the 1980s. SPL produced 200 shows in the Garberville Theater for Research and Development purposes, bringing forth proof of concept and scalable system applications for TrueSPL™.
